Common questions
Before you order
What's the difference between the species?
Merbau — rich red-brown hardwood, our best seller. Naturally durable, great value.
Spotted Gum — premium Australian hardwood with distinctive grain variation. Lighter feature look.
Yellow Balau — honey tones, clean contemporary appearance. Similar properties to Merbau.
Ironbark — the toughest of the four. Extreme durability for high-exposure applications.
Rosewood — premium-grade hardwood for designer outdoor and indoor spaces.

Should I choose raw or pre-oiled?
Raw screens let you apply your own choice of oil or stain for a custom finish, perfect for people who want a coastal grey finish. Pre-oiled screens come treated with premium exterior grade Intergrain Universal Timber Oil — ready to install straight away, ideal if you want to save time. Both finishes need re-oiling every 6–12 months for longevity.
Can I install these myself?
Yes — every screen comes pre-assembled and pre-drilled. Most homeowners install with basic tools and a helper. Install posts first (treated pine, hardwood or steel). Attach rails to the posts and simply screw the screens onto the rails.
How quickly will I receive my order?
Standard sizes ship within 2–5 business days. Free metro delivery on orders over $1,000 for screens up to 2,400mm long — Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. Larger screens require specialist freight and are quoted at checkout. Contact us if your postcode isn't listed.
Do you offer trade or bulk pricing?
Yes — volume discounts for builders, landscapers, and trade customers. Contact us with your project details for a custom quote. We've supplied screens for residential builds, commercial fit-outs, and developer projects across Australia.
Can I order a sample before committing?
Yes — our Timber Screen Sample Pack ($39.95) includes cut pieces of each species so you can see and feel the grain in person before ordering full screens.
